De Waard Transport has a direct computer link to IDS (International Distribution Systems). IDS is a combined effort by several transport companies, each with their own national specialisation. IDS provides for a fast and efficient mutual exchange of transport flows.
The wealth of expertise available ensures that IDS is able to set up the right management structures for the operational execution of the transports, particularly for loads with specific requirements (products to be transported at certain temperatures or that are susceptible to theft).
In addition, IDS knows all about the most recent legislation and regulations applicable. Every day, 200 transports are handled through the IDS network by 2,000 trucks, travelling from locations and destinations all across Europe.
De Waard Transport has a direct computer link to IDS. The associated shippers make available shipment status reports via TMS (Transport Management System). This means all information is available at the right time and at the right place. Moreover, every load can be traced from its departure right up to its arrival via the Internet.
